Back Pain Physical Therapy in Bellevue, WA

Get back to your active life without relying on pain medication or endless appointments. Our osteopractic approach targets the root cause of your back pain, combining advanced techniques like spinal manipulation and dry needling with personalized exercise plans that work.

Back Pain Shouldn't Control Your Life

Whether you're dealing with lower back stiffness from sitting at a desk, shooting pain from a sports injury, or chronic discomfort that's been holding you back for months, you know how frustrating it is when every movement reminds you something's wrong.

You've Tried Rest — It's Not Working

You hoped the pain would go away on its own, but weeks have passed and you're still limited. Simple activities like picking up groceries or playing with your kids feel impossible.

Generic PT Hasn't Given You Results

You've been handed the same stretches and exercises as everyone else, spent time with aides instead of specialists, and still haven't found lasting relief or real answers.

You're Missing Out on What Matters

Weekend activities, workouts, sports you love — they're all on hold. The longer you wait, the more your body compensates, creating new problems and making recovery harder.

"Dr. Chris Lee is an amazing physical therapist that is patient, kind, knowledgeable and professional. He is able to find the root cause of the issue and explain clearly to me how my core muscles, back muscles, hips and glutes muscles were imbalanced and how it contributed to my knee pain and back pain. I saw 5 other physical therapists who could not help my knee become better, but because of Chris' help it has been wonderful to be able to resume much of my physical activity."

Dr. Chris Lee specializes in osteopractic physical therapy with advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation, spinal manipulation, and dry needling. After graduating from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 2017, he's spent over 7 years helping active adults and athletes in the Seattle-Bellevue area overcome pain and return to peak performance. Chris understands the frustration of chronic pain firsthand—a car accident in 2009 left him unable to play badminton competitively for two years until physical therapy helped him return to the court. That experience inspired him to become the specialist he wished he'd had: someone who doesn't just eliminate pain, but gets you fully ready to compete and perform at your best.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions about knee pain treatment in Bellevue? We've got answers.

  •  Osteopractic physical therapy is a specialized approach that combines advanced manual therapy techniques like spinal manipulation and dry needling with evidence-based exercise prescription. Unlike general physical therapy, osteopractic therapists have extensive post-graduate training in treating neuromusculoskeletal conditions, allowing for more precise diagnosis and targeted treatment of back pain. You'll work one-on-one with a specialist every visit — not an aide or technician — ensuring the highest level of care and faster results.

  •  Most patients see significant improvement within 4-10 sessions, though this varies based on the severity and duration of your back pain. Many of our patients report noticeable relief after just the first few treatments. During your initial assessment, we'll discuss your specific condition and give you a realistic timeline for recovery. Our goal is always to get you better as quickly as possible while ensuring long-term results.

  •  We work with most major insurance providers. However, coverage varies by plan, so we recommend calling us at (425) 559-9662 to verify your specific benefits before your first visit. We'll help you understand your coverage and any out-of-pocket costs. We also offer flexible payment options for self-pay patients who prefer to invest directly in their health without insurance limitations.

  •  Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy movement and access to the area being treated. For back pain treatment, athletic shorts or loose pants and a comfortable shirt work well. If we're working on your lower back, you may be asked to change into a gown. Bring athletic shoes if you'll be doing any exercise-based treatment during your session.

  •  Physical therapy is highly effective for both acute and chronic back pain. In fact, many of our patients come to us after dealing with chronic back pain for months or even years. Our osteopractic approach addresses the underlying causes of chronic pain — such as muscle imbalances, poor movement patterns, and joint dysfunction — rather than just treating symptoms. We've helped countless patients find lasting relief from long-standing back pain when other treatments haven't worked.
