Pain Shouldn't Keep You on the Sidelines

Living an active lifestyle in Bellevue shouldn't come with constant pain. Whether it's from tennis, running, cycling, or time in the gym, injuries and chronic pain can steal your momentum and keep you from doing what you love.

Your Pain Keeps Getting Worse

That nagging shoulder pain from your weekend tennis match isn't going away on its own. Left untreated, minor issues can turn into chronic inflammation, tears, or instability that require surgery and months of recovery.

Traditional PT Isn't Cutting It

You've been to physical therapy before, but the 20-minute sessions with a tech didn't address the root cause. You were discharged when your pain subsided, not when you were ready to return to your sport or activity.

You're Missing Out on Life

Every day you spend in pain is a day you miss out on hiking, playing with your kids, competing in your sport, or simply moving through life without limitations. Time is your most precious resource.

What Our Patients Say

  • "Chris is a wonderful physical therapist to work proven by his knowledge and expertise in helping my recovery. His experience as a badminton coach also contributes to providing useful guidance in human body dynamics area. He's also one of the few therapist who's also licensed for acupuncture in the state and incorporating it during our sessions. I would definitely keep working with Chris for my recovery and suggests others who needed professional assistance in physical therapy."

    XR Lin

  • "I started physical therapy with Dr. Chris Lee to address the residual pain from injuries that I hadn't properly rehabilitated. Chris was extremely thorough in gathering information about the different types and origins of my pain and was able to identify the root cause issues rather than just treating the surface-level issues. Recently, we began incorporating needling into my treatment for persistent back and hip pain. The improvement after just the first session was astounding and after a few more sessions, the pain I had for many years was essentially gone. It is also helpful that Chris has a comprehensive understanding of badminton and his unique knowledge of the sport is an asset to any badminton player!"

    Sruthi Joshy

  • "Chris is an excellent physical therapist who combines deep knowledge, experience, and a unique blend of techniques—including acupuncture, stretching, and strength training—to support recovery, and he genuinely cares about helping his patients feel better. I've made significant progress in the two months I've worked with Chris and am now nearly pain free. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking proactive physical therapy."

Expert care from a physical therapist who's been in your shoes.

Chris Lee, PT, DPT

Founder & Clinic Director
Cert. VRS, Cert. SMT, Cert. DN, Dip. Osteopractic

Dr. Chris Lee specializes in osteopractic physical therapy with advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation, spinal manipulation, and dry needling. After graduating from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 2017, he's spent over 7 years helping active adults and athletes in the Seattle-Bellevue area overcome pain and return to peak performance. Chris understands the frustration of chronic pain firsthand—a car accident in 2009 left him unable to play badminton competitively for two years until physical therapy helped him return to the court. That experience inspired him to become the specialist he wished he'd had: someone who doesn't just eliminate pain, but gets you fully ready to compete and perform at your best.

Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about physical therapy in Bellevue.

  • No, Washington is a direct access state, which means you can see a physical therapist without a physician referral. However, some insurance plans may require a referral for coverage, so we recommend checking with your insurance provider. At Pinnacle Performance Physio, we offer a free phone consultation to discuss your specific situation and answer any insurance questions you may have.

  • Osteopractic physical therapy is a specialized sub-field that emphasizes advanced manual techniques like dry needling and spinal manipulation. Just as you'd see an orthopedist for a broken bone or a dermatologist for a skin condition, an osteopractic physical therapist is the specialist for neuromusculoskeletal issues like chronic back pain, sports injuries, and joint dysfunction. We provide one-on-one care with a licensed DPT every session—no aides or technicians—and focus on getting you performance-ready, not just pain-free.

  • Treatment duration varies based on your condition, goals, and how your body responds to therapy. Some patients see significant improvement within 2-4 weeks, while others with chronic conditions or complex injuries may need 8-12 weeks. Unlike traditional PT clinics that discharge you when pain subsides, we work with you until you're truly ready to return to your sport or activity at full capacity. During your initial evaluation, we'll provide a realistic timeline based on your specific situation.

  • Wear comfortable, athletic clothing that allows you to move freely. Depending on the area being treated, we may need access to your shoulder, knee, or back, so loose-fitting gym clothes or athletic wear work best. For lower body treatments, shorts are ideal; for upper body or shoulder issues, a tank top or loose t-shirt is recommended.

  • Three key differences set us apart: First, you get one-on-one care with Dr. Chris Lee (DPT) for your entire session—no rotating through aides or techs. Second, we use advanced osteopractic techniques including dry needling, spinal manipulation, and vestibular rehabilitation that most general PT clinics don't offer. Third, we don't just discharge you when your pain goes away—we bridge the gap between "pain-free" and "performance-ready" so you're fully prepared to return to your sport or activity. Dr. Lee's personal experience overcoming chronic pain and his background as a competitive athlete means he truly understands what it takes to get back in the game.
